Product Overview
The screen rotor is the heart of every pressure screen — its design directly determines screening efficiency, energy consumption, basket life, and fiber quality. Parason offers a complete range of application-based screen rotors, each engineered with specific pulse characteristics optimized for its target screening stage.
From aggressive step rotors for heavy contaminant removal in coarse screens, to gentle multivane airfoil rotors for approach flow applications where fiber integrity is paramount — every rotor in the Parason range is dynamically balanced, precision manufactured, and compatible with Parason screens as well as all major OEM pressure screens worldwide.
Rotor Types
Six application-specific rotor designs — select the right rotor for your screening stage

Step Rotor
Coarse ScreeningDesigned for coarse screening and reject handling stages. The stepped profile creates strong pressure pulses that keep the basket clean while efficiently handling heavy contaminants, plastics, and large debris in waste paper and OCC processing lines.

Inclined Vane Rotor
Medium Consistency ScreeningEngineered with angled vanes that generate a smooth, continuous pressure pulse along the basket. The inclined geometry creates an axial flow component that improves stock distribution and reduces fiber damage, making it ideal for medium consistency screening applications.

CrocX Rotor
Fine Screening & FractionationAdvanced rotor design combining multiple pulse-generating elements in a cross pattern for high-efficiency fine screening. The CrocX geometry delivers aggressive basket cleaning with controlled turbulence, enabling tight slot baskets to operate at high capacity without plugging.

VSL Rotor
Fine ScreeningThe VSL (Variable Surface Length) rotor features multiple foil elements of varying lengths that create a progressive pressure wave across the basket surface. This design minimizes energy consumption while maintaining effective basket cleaning for fine screening of writing, printing, and tissue grade pulps.

Multivane Airfoil Rotor
Approach Flow & Fine ScreeningFeatures aerodynamic airfoil-shaped vanes that generate a gentle, low-pulsation cleaning action. The airfoil profile minimizes fiber cutting and floc breaking, delivering the cleanest possible accept quality — making it the preferred choice for approach flow screening before the headbox.

Centripetal Rotor
Fiber Recovery & Tail ScreeningOpen-cage construction designed for high-efficiency fiber recovery from reject streams. The centripetal flow pattern directs fibers inward through the basket while contaminants are rejected outward, achieving maximum fiber yield with minimal thickening in tail screening and fiber recovery stages.
Rotor Selection Guide
