Product Overview
The Parason Black Liquor Pressure Filter is a specialized filtration system designed for chemical recovery processes in pulp mills. It employs a unique SS-316 “Parason EBD” perforated screen basket manufactured using Electron Beam Drilling technology — enabling micro-perforations as small as 0.20 mm with unmatched precision.
The filter efficiently separates fibers and particulates from black liquor, reducing the inlet fiber content from 200–300 PPM to below 30 PPM in the filtrate. Operating at a filtrate pH of 11–12 and temperatures between 80–90°C, the system is engineered to withstand the harsh alkaline and high-temperature conditions inherent in the chemical recovery cycle.
The complete system features an SS-316 main body with inlet, outlet, and vent nozzles, a dynamically balanced bump-type rotor, SKF/FAG bearings with thrust capability, and a double mechanical seal stuffing box — ensuring reliable, leak-free operation in continuous service.
Electron Beam Drilling (EBD)
Electron Beam Drilling is an advanced non-contact thermal drilling process that uses a focused beam of high-velocity electrons to create micro-perforations in the screen basket. The electron beam is generated in a vacuum column and precisely directed through astigmatism, focus, and deflection lenses to achieve perforations with exceptional accuracy and repeatability.
