Working Principle

It has therefore been necessary to lower the temperature of the pulp before it is blown out of the digester. This method, known as Cold Blow, is accomplished by introducing black liquor from the pulp washing section at a temperature of < 50°C. to the bottom of the digester cone called cold blow discharger.
